What this means for your family

The Villa at Stamford is highly regarded for its physical therapy and administrative support, making it a strong candidate for short-term rehabilitation. However, families should be aware of potential issues with nursing responsiveness and daily engagement for long-term residents. We recommend visiting during off-hours or weekends to observe staffing levels and asking specifically about the daily activity schedule for your loved one.

The Villa at Stamford receives high praise for its rehabilitation services, clean environment, and helpful administrative staff, particularly in the business office. However, some families report significant concerns regarding inconsistent nursing care, poor communication, and a lack of engaging activities for long-term residents. While many families feel their loved ones are safe and well-cared for, others describe a stark contrast between the facility's appearance and the quality of daily attention provided.

Key Review Excerpts

The Villa is more than a 5 stars (Medicare’s highest rating). The multidisciplinary staff was very well trained in acute care and provided a safe, friendly, warm and positive environment.

Rehab patient's spouse · 2024★★★★★

The nurses left my friend without taking a shower for a month the only good person in that building is the receptionist the nurses are nasty and horrible left my friend with no Ad ointment he got rashes

Friend of resident · 2024☆☆☆☆

But other than two hours of therapy a day, they left her alone in her dark, tiny room to sit in a wheelchair/lie on her bed and stare at the TV for literally 22 hours a day, 24 on weekends. She got depressed and somewhat hopeless.
