What this means for your family

The Blossoms at Cumberland is highly regarded for its vibrant activity program and welcoming environment, making it a pleasant place for social interaction. However, families should be vigilant regarding personal property, as multiple reports of missing items have occurred; we recommend labeling everything clearly and keeping high-value items at home. Additionally, while the activity staff is excellent, you may want to request a meeting with nursing management to ensure your loved one's specific care needs will be monitored consistently.

The Blossoms at Cumberland receives high praise from visitors and volunteers for its welcoming environment, particularly regarding the activity department's engagement with residents. However, long-term family members have raised serious concerns regarding the loss of personal property and the need for more consistent supervision of nursing staff. While the facility is frequently described as warm and homelike, prospective families should be aware of these conflicting reports regarding operational oversight.

Key Review Excerpts

Most of the staff is friendly but there’s a few CNA’s that could use some supervision, training and compassion towards the residents... A lot of my Mom’s “things” have come up missing never to be seen again, Including a TV, 100$ coat, perfumes, jewelry all the socks, clothing, Dentures, a brand new bedspread etc.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★☆☆

The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. My brother has lived here for over 8 years and truly enjoys it, which speaks volumes.
