What this means for your family
The Slovene Home offers a beautiful, clean environment with excellent rehabilitation facilities, making it a strong candidate for short-term recovery. However, given recent reports of staffing shortages and inconsistent communication, we strongly recommend that you visit during off-hours or weekends to observe staff responsiveness firsthand before making a decision.

Key Review Excerpts
“My 93-year old father spent a short stay in the skilled nursing wing of the Slovene Home after fracturing his hip and in every way the facility exceeded my expectations. Caring and competent staff, attractive facility (renovated and expanded in 2012), committed therapists with state of the art equipment, high quality food and engaging activities.”
“The facility looks like a palace. The staff treats everyone like a dementia patient and were rude if I questioned something. The therapy gym is beautiful but they contract and they didn't know how to treat me. The food is horrendous.”
“My mom spent time here and I couldn’t be happier. The nurse, Barica, was very kind and compassionate to my mom and our family. She aways found the time to answer our questions.”
