What this means for your family

While the independent living and memory care units receive high praise for their compassionate staff and beautiful environment, the rehabilitation unit has faced recurring complaints regarding understaffing and dismissive communication. Families considering the rehab program should conduct a thorough tour, ask specifically about nurse-to-patient ratios on weekends, and ensure there is a clear plan for medical advocacy.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff was attentive and caring; the medical oversight effective; and they saw my mother as a whole person, not just someone with dementia.

Memory care family member · 2022★★★★★

The staff can be nice and attentive however when a problem arises that needs to be addressed it gets dismissed. When you try to talk to anyone if they dont want to hear there is an issue you will be 'cut off' and the staff member will walk out of the room.

Rehab patient's spouse · 2023★★★★★

My father went to rehab after minor surgery. He was living independently before surgery, after his stay at Bellbrook he was rendered a near invalid. The OT and PT he received were horrible.
