What this means for your family

While the therapy team is highly regarded and the facility is physically impressive, the recent increase in reports regarding patient neglect and slow response times is concerning. If you choose this facility, we strongly recommend that a family member visits frequently to monitor care, especially for patients with mobility issues or dementia, and to ensure call lights are answered promptly.

Ignite Medical Resort Dyer receives high praise for its modern, clean facility and effective rehabilitation therapy programs, with many families noting significant physical improvements in their loved ones. However, there is a recurring pattern of critical concerns regarding slow response times to call lights, inconsistent nursing care, and issues with hygiene and dietary management for vulnerable patients. While many visitors report a resort-like experience, others describe serious lapses in basic patient safety and attentiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

The physical and occupational therapists have been outstanding, helping her regain strength and learn to walk again with patience and encouragement. Every nurse and clinical team member we’ve encountered has been attentive, compassionate, and genuinely concerned about her well-being.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★★

On in patient rehab floor (1st floor C section) the average call response for a person using the nurse call light was 1 hour with a minimum of 25 minutes. Twice she went without meals because they never sent her tray, to boot she is on a renal diet and they constantly sent her foods that she should not be eating.

Rehab patient's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

My grandmother was admitted here after a heart valve replacement surgery for pt to get her back up and walking. She was here 10 days, had 1 shower, the facility is filthy, and smells like feces. They checked her vitals once a day. Didn’t help her eat.
