What this means for your family

The Laurels of Milford features a highly regarded therapy team that has helped many residents return home, making it a strong candidate for short-term rehabilitation. However, families should be aware of persistent reports regarding facility cleanliness and difficulty reaching management by phone. We strongly recommend conducting an unannounced visit to observe the environment firsthand and asking specifically about their current staffing ratios and communication protocols.

The Laurels of Milford receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the dedicated nursing and therapy staff for their compassionate care, while others report severe neglect, poor hygiene, and communication failures. Families should be aware that experiences appear inconsistent, ranging from excellent rehabilitative outcomes to reports of unsafe living conditions.

Key Review Excerpts

My Uncle was placed at The Laurels of Milford after a fall and broken hip. Physical therapy and occupational therapy are top notch. Nursing staff was very helpful and on point with his care.

Long-term resident's family · 2023☆☆☆☆

The building is very old, very dirty, don’t even ask about the restrooms. The staff are uncaring, neglectful, and have extremely bad attitudes that they are being bothered and inconvenienced by anyone and everyone.

Rehab patient's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

In five months, Laurels got me to taking actual steps for the first time in 5 years. LeMarie, Scott, Tyler, Kelly, and all of the rest of the therapy team were an absolute dream to work with.
