What this means for your family

The facility's rehabilitation therapy team is highly regarded and often cited as the primary reason for choosing this location. However, families must be vigilant regarding nursing care and communication; we strongly recommend visiting during off-hours or weekends to observe staffing levels and response times firsthand before committing.

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the facility for its effective physical and occupational therapy programs that help patients regain mobility. However, there is a recurring pattern of serious concerns regarding nursing care quality, staff responsiveness, and poor communication, particularly during weekends and off-hours. Families should be aware that while the therapy department is a significant strength, the facility's overall consistency in patient care and administrative support is frequently questioned.

Key Review Excerpts

The rehabilitation department is very good and they really help with getting people back on their feet. I want to give recommendations to Saffee and Jimmy.

Rehab patient · 2024☆☆☆☆

The facility did not have the proper supplies for my surgical needs (an ileostomy and wound care) it took days to actually get items and NEVER got all of the proper items. The rooms are dirty, the sheets are stained.

Rehab patient · 2022☆☆☆☆

The supervisor that works weekends is absolutely the worst rude deplorable person!!!! I am just at a loss with the lack of compassion.
