What this means for your family

This facility is well-regarded for its clean environment and compassionate long-term care, but families should be aware of inconsistent reports regarding rehab responsiveness. When touring, specifically ask about the nurse-to-patient ratios on weekends and how the facility ensures timely assistance for patients with limited mobility.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews

23 reviews on Google
Ohio Living Quaker Heights receives polarized feedback, with some families praising the compassionate staff and clean environment, while others report significant concerns regarding patient neglect and unprofessional behavior. While long-term residents and their families often report positive experiences, critical reviews highlight issues with responsiveness, hygiene, and staff attitude toward rehab patients. Prospective families should carefully evaluate the facility's current culture, as experiences appear to vary significantly based on the specific unit and staff members involved.

Key Review Excerpts

My husband's parents have been at Quaker Heights for over 3 years and they have thrived with the compassionate and conscientious care they've received from all the staff, especially during this horrible pandemic.

Long-term resident's family · 2020★★★★★

The only thing that was focused on during her entire stay was doing as little as possible for her. They wouldn’t help her to the bathroom, but made her use a diaper the whole day and night. They waited more than an hour to attend to her after she alerted them.

Rehab patient's family · 2021☆☆☆☆

I must acknowledge that for the 1st time is over 2 years my Mom was sad to leave which she has been in fight or flight for a long time. She showed gratitude and felt that she received good care, most importantly she allowed them to care for her which is no easy feat.

This facility has recurring issues with fire safety systems, care planning, and emergency preparedness across multiple surveys, though all deficiencies have been corrected. Families filed complaints in 2025 regarding medication errors, daily care assistance, and communication about resident changes. While the facility addresses problems when identified, the pattern of repeated fire safety violations and recent family complaints about medication management and care quality warrant careful consideration during your visit.
