Key Review Excerpts

My husband has been in Nassau rehabilitation and nursing facility for 3 years now and everyone here treats us both like we are family .. my husband is a TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY PATIENT and isn’t easy to care for .. when I leave him to go home and rest I know that he is taken care of by the best .

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★★

I can say from the time I walked into the door and meet with Mrs. Cheryl my mind set had changed but I still had to ask alot of questions and go visit my Dad everyday. I'm happy the staff was able to listen to my concerns because the goal was to bring my Dad home.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★

My 96 year old mother was admitted to a room without heat (it was 20 degrees outside), broken window blinds, cracked walls and peeling paint, a bed that could not be adjusted and dirty walls, floors and windowsills. There were no other beds available.

Nassau Rehabilitation & Nursing Center has 24 deficiencies across four surveys, including one complaint-triggered issue involving food preparation that families reported. The facility shows recurring problems with fire safety systems, daily care assistance, and medication management across multiple inspections. While all violations have correction dates, the pattern of repeated deficiencies in safety systems and basic care areas suggests ongoing operational challenges families should carefully evaluate.
