What this means for your family

Dobson Plaza is highly regarded by some families for its hands-on, family-owned management and compassionate care across different levels of residency. However, because the majority of positive reviews lack specific details, we recommend scheduling an in-person tour to observe staff-resident interactions firsthand and confirm if the care aligns with your loved one's needs.

Key Review Excerpts

Dobson Plaza was my mother’s home for 2 ½ years and it became an important part of our family. Mom had the full experience – moving from the active environment on the 1st floor, to the slightly more limited 2nd floor, to her final bed on the restricted 3rd floor where she received compassionate care in the last 3 months of her life.

Long-term resident's family · 2022★★★★★

Excellent community with very caring people. What I like about Dobson is that it's family owned and operated. The owner is very involved in making sure all the residents are well cared for, which you don't see in many facilities.

Clean record — no deficiencies

Dobson Plaza has had recurring deficiencies across multiple areas, with families filing complaints that triggered investigations into accident prevention and care quality issues. The facility has struggled most with abuse/neglect reporting procedures, care planning, and safety oversight, with these problems appearing across different surveys from 2023 to 2024. While all identified deficiencies show correction dates, the pattern of repeat issues in critical areas suggests ongoing challenges with consistent care standards.
