Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed you have a very high response rate to online feedback; how does that commitment to communication extend to how you keep families updated on their loved one's daily progress?
  • 2Given that some families have mentioned challenges with call light response times, what specific protocols or technology do you use to ensure residents receive timely assistance?
  • 3With your CMS health inspection rating being a focus area, what specific improvements or changes have you implemented recently to enhance the quality of care and safety for your residents?
  • 4Since you have a large capacity of 214 residents, how do you ensure that bedridden residents receive the personalized, frequent attention and repositioning they need throughout the day?
  • 5I see that your physical and occupational therapy programs are highly regarded; could you walk me through how those services are integrated into a resident's daily routine?
  • 6How do you balance the administrative side of care to ensure that case workers and staff are proactively communicating with families about changes in a resident's health status?

Key Review Excerpts

The entire medical service leaves much to be desired, except for one CNA, a wonderful woman, Joanna, who is very caring and takes care of everyone who needs help. The other staff did not respond at all to requests for help, patients in pain asking for help and medications waiting for hours for someone to show up.

Rehab patient's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

After coming from a terrible nursing home, discovering Bella Terra of Schaumburg has been an absolute relief and blessing. The difference is truly night and day. The staff here genuinely care about their patients—they treat residents with kindness.

Memory care family member · 2025★★★★★

Care is good but communication is very poor. Tracking down administration is nearly impossible. As always, You HAVE to be your family members advocate.
