What this means for your family

While the facility's physical therapy department is highly regarded for successful recovery, the recent management transition has led to significant concerns regarding staffing levels and patient care. If you choose this facility, we strongly recommend frequent, unannounced visits to monitor your loved one's care and to ensure that call lights are being answered in a timely manner.

ARC AT HICKORY POINT receives highly polarized feedback, with recent reviews highlighting a significant decline in quality following a change in management. While many families praise the facility for its clean environment and effective physical therapy department, others report severe issues with understaffing, slow response times to call lights, and poor medication management. Families considering this facility should be aware of the stark contrast between the positive experiences of rehab patients and the critical concerns raised by long-term care families regarding daily oversight.

Key Review Excerpts

The CNAs almost always (99% of the time) answer your call light within minutes and are some of the best & friendliest people I've met. Therapy department is awesome!

Rehab patient · 2024★★★★

There is only 1 CNA per hall and that means it can take upto 20 minutes for her to get to your room. My husband has been here since the 28th of February and we have watched things get bad.

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

The orders are wrong, the food is sometimes stale and always cold. Bedsores, infections, and equipment that doesn't work. Speaking of not working, 90% of the staff sits behind the nurses station and allows call lights to ring for up to an hour.
