What this means for your family

While long-term residents often report positive experiences with therapy and staff, there is a recurring pattern of neglect regarding basic hygiene and call-light response times for rehab patients. We strongly advise families to observe the facility during off-hours and weekends and to ask specifically about their protocols for pressure sore prevention and diabetic care management.

Americana Health and Rehabilitation receives highly polarized feedback, with long-term residents often praising the therapy and staff, while family members of short-term rehab patients report severe neglect. Critical concerns include significant delays in responding to call lights, poor hygiene management, and inadequate wound care for diabetic patients. Families considering this facility should be aware of the stark contrast between the positive experiences of some residents and the alarming reports of basic care failures.

My sister was sent here for rehab after a double amputation of the legs. At 2 am she had to use the bathroom so she pulled her cord. No one came till 10 am and by then she had urinated all over herself.
