What this means for your family

Tower Lodge is frequently praised for its cleanliness and engaging activity programs, making it a comfortable environment for many residents. However, families should be aware of reported issues regarding communication and medication management during transitions. We strongly recommend scheduling an unannounced visit to observe staffing levels and asking specific questions about their discharge and medication coordination protocols.

Tower Lodge Care Center receives a high volume of positive reviews from families who praise the cleanliness of the facility, the friendliness of the staff, and the variety of engaging activities provided for residents. However, a small but vocal group of reviewers reports serious concerns regarding understaffing, poor communication, and lapses in medical care during transitions or end-of-life stages. Families considering this facility should weigh the frequent reports of a warm, clean environment against the specific, critical accounts of neglect and administrative failures.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff were kind, patient, and clearly experienced with memory care residents. The facility was clean and felt comfortable and welcoming rather than overly clinical.

Memory care family member · 2026★★★★★

The facility itself is definitely not as glitzy as the other LTCs that we saw, but we were not looking to put Mom into the 'Ritz'. Our number one concern was Mom's care, and it was obvious to us early on that the best actual care she would receive would be at Tower Lodge.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★★

They discharged my mother without making sure her medications would be with her so she left without one of her antibiotics being available to her and they didn't care when I went back in to ask them they blew me off saying it's the ordering doctor's problem not ours

Tower Lodge Care Center shows a pattern of recurring food safety issues across all three surveys spanning 2021-2024, indicating persistent challenges with food procurement, storage, and preparation. The facility also has repeated problems with care planning and quality standards. While all deficiencies were reportedly corrected, the recurrence of the same food safety violations suggests ongoing operational difficulties that families should discuss during visits.
