What this means for your family

While the facility is physically beautiful and has a strong rehab team, the recurring reports of neglect and slow response times are significant red flags. If you consider this facility, I strongly recommend visiting unannounced during off-hours or weekends to observe staff-to-resident ratios and response times firsthand.

The Lodge at Rocky Mount receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the facility's aesthetic appeal and specific staff members, while others report severe concerns regarding neglect and poor care. Critical issues frequently cited include slow response times to call buttons, residents being left in soiled clothing for extended periods, and the development of preventable conditions like bedsores and infections. Families considering this facility should be aware of the significant gap between the positive experiences of some and the distressing reports of neglect from others.

Key Review Excerpts

When a professional leaves a patient in soiled clothing for two-three hrs is not right!!!! Now after that bed sores are also appearing!!!

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

Several times have left my grandfather unattended and refuse to take him to the bathroom. One day it was a 45 minute wait and another time was literally from 2:00PM to 6:00PM they said they couldn’t assist him to the bathroom.

Grandchild of resident · 2024☆☆☆☆

My mom was there for 2 months and so glad I got her out of there she ended up with UTI, Ecoli and Thrush, when I got her out had to have put in hospital for 3 days due to their neglect.
