What this means for your family

While Swift Creek offers a visually impressive environment and some effective rehab services, the recurring reports of neglect on the fourth floor are a major red flag. If you choose this facility, we strongly advise you to conduct unannounced visits, specifically checking on hygiene and hydration, and to ask management directly about their current staffing ratios and reliance on temporary agency personnel.

Swift Creek Health Center presents a stark divide in experiences, with some families praising the beautiful facility and professional rehab staff, while others report severe neglect and systemic understaffing. Critical concerns regarding hygiene, wound care, and basic assistance for residents on the fourth floor are recurring themes that suggest inconsistent care quality. Families considering this facility should be aware of the significant gap between the facility's aesthetic appeal and the reported daily care standards.

Key Review Excerpts

My dad was a resident for 1 1/2 years... corporate management was aware they did not have enough staff but continued to move residents in with high care needs. We had so many care issues not receiving medication properly, catheter bag not emptied, hydration family member had to go everyday to insure he was cared for and ate.

Long-term resident's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

My mother is a current resident of Swift Creek, and I must say the conditions on the 4th floor have been appalling thus far. Every time I have come to visit her room is filthy. They don't turn her resulting in bed sores worthy of a horror film.

Long-term resident's family · 2023☆☆☆☆

The physical therapy at this “rehab” was non existent. Because she was a “fall risk” they couldn’t do physical therapy (why was she there??). They were so short staffed they couldn’t get my mother out of bed into a wheel chair or recliner.
