What this means for your family

While some families report positive experiences with the facility's small size and recent administrative changes, the reports of severe neglect and communication failures are highly concerning. We strongly recommend that you conduct an unannounced visit and specifically ask for their policy on notifying families during medical emergencies before making a decision.

Stoneridge Health Care presents a highly polarized environment, with recent reviews oscillating between claims of life-threatening neglect and praise for a small, compassionate, and improved facility. While some families report excellent outcomes for rehab and wound care, others have raised severe allegations regarding communication failures during medical emergencies and inadequate staffing leading to patient decline. Prospective families should be aware of the significant divide in experiences, particularly regarding the consistency of care and administrative responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

Very well kept facility. Not new, but very clean and had NO poop smell. Other facilities I visited were just permeated with feces smells and I always felt I was breathing in more germs in a 1 hr visit than all week anywhere else.

Memory care family member · 2026★★★★★

The level of care at this facility has been improving steadily recently since they have added new admin staff. The new staff really care annd are also excellent at what they do, making vast improvements in very short amounts of time.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★★

My uncle was there went out for dialysis dialysis sent him to the emergency room and they didn’t even have the decency to even call me to let me know that they had even sent him out to the emergency room. They are awful. They are rude and all they do is hang up on you.

3 complaint-triggered

Families filed complaints that led to recent deficiencies in 2024 regarding resident rights and care planning. This facility shows recurring issues with resident rights protections, building safety systems, and dietary services across multiple surveys from 2018-2022. While all deficiencies have correction dates, the pattern of repeated problems with electrical systems, fire safety equipment, and resident dignity suggests ongoing operational challenges that families should discuss during visits.
