What this means for your family

Solaris Healthcare Apopka is highly regarded for its clean environment and effective rehabilitation programs, making it a strong candidate for post-surgical recovery. However, because multiple reviewers have raised concerns regarding medication management and wound care, we strongly advise families to be active advocates, monitor wound sites personally, and ensure clear communication with nursing staff regarding medication schedules.

Key Review Excerpts

The first notice, how clean and fresh it smelled, everyone was polite and helpful. The aida were attentive to the patients, enjoyed the Christmas music playing in the lobby but most of all that it is Christian based.

Visitor/Family · 2025★★★★★

My mother was at Solaris due to complications following surgery which had weakened her considerably. She was there for approximately 5 months, and I can assure you that the staff is excellent. We were able to discuss her care directly with the staff and administration to enable them to do what was necessary.

Memory care family member · 2025★★★★★

Overall, my experiences have been positive. One still has to be an advocate for themselves and speak up when needed. I have had to ask for a couple of things to be done for my father that technically should have been done. However, my requests were always attended to in a timely fashion.

Clean record — no deficiencies

Solaris Healthcare Apopka has 9 deficiencies across two surveys, with recurring issues in medication management and fire safety systems appearing in both 2021 and 2023 inspections. The facility also had problems with emergency preparedness and quality of care. While all deficiencies were reportedly corrected, the pattern of repeat violations in critical areas like pharmacy services and sprinkler system maintenance suggests ongoing operational challenges families should consider.
