What this means for your family

Rosegate Village appears to be two distinct operations under one name; the assisted living side is highly regarded for its social environment and cleanliness, while the rehab and nursing side has faced serious allegations of neglect. If you are considering this facility, please tour the specific unit your loved one will occupy and ask for clear documentation on staffing ratios for that specific department.

Rosegate Village receives polarized feedback, with a clear distinction between the assisted living/garden home community and the rehabilitation/nursing care units. While many residents and families praise the assisted living staff, cleanliness, and social activities, several critical reviews highlight significant concerns regarding neglect, understaffing, and poor communication in the healthcare-focused areas. Families should be aware that experiences vary drastically depending on the specific level of care required.

Key Review Excerpts

They are NOT equipped or staffed to handle a patient with advanced dementia. Our loved one arrived at Rosegate healthy and confused and left there in kidney failure, malnourished, dehydrated and overmedicated just 11 days after admission.

Memory care family member · 2020☆☆☆☆

My aunt moved into Rosegate Commons last year. It was a bait and switch situation. She toured a beautiful, remodeled, stainless steel home, was super excited, but ended up with a home with old appliances that don't even match.

Assisted living family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

My 93 year old mother has been at Rosegate since 2017 and she loves it. The staff is kind, there are various activities throughout the day she can choose to participate in and she loves the variety and delicious meals.

5 complaint-triggered

Rosegate Village has concerning patterns with families filing complaints that led to findings of abuse protection failures and resident rights violations. The facility shows recurring issues with fire safety systems, food safety, and care planning that have persisted across multiple inspections. While most deficiencies show correction dates, recent surveys found ongoing problems with emergency exits and smoke barriers that remain without correction plans, raising safety concerns.
