What this means for your family

While the facility has received significant praise recently for its activities and admissions process, the recurring, serious reports of neglect and hygiene issues are concerning. If you consider this facility, conduct an unannounced visit during a weekend or evening to observe staffing levels and cleanliness firsthand, and ask specific questions about their wound care protocols and how they handle call light response times.

Lincolnshire Health & Rehabilitation Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many recent reviews praising the admissions team and facility updates, while numerous families report severe neglect, poor hygiene, and understaffing. While some families highlight positive rehabilitation outcomes and compassionate individual staff members, others describe distressing experiences involving unaddressed call lights, poor wound care, and unprofessional communication. Prospective families should be aware of the significant disparity between the facility's marketing and the experiences reported by those concerned about basic patient safety.

Key Review Excerpts

The love and care this facility has shown my grandmother is exceptional. From the admission director Angela and her smoothe process, to the business office manager Andrea and her knowledge of the Medicaid process, the activity director Alisa gets those residents moving and grooving with a smile on her face.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★★

My grandmother went there after knee replacement surgery, she has been there for 9 days today, they've showered her once since being there (8 days) . My parents had to change the bedsheets by themselves today when visiting her. She has a huge cut on her leg, near her ankle, she never felt it, they never cleaned up her cut or the blood on the floor.

Grandchild of resident · 2024☆☆☆☆

My father, who had severe arthritis in his hands and could not walk, would be given a tray of barely warm middle school food and was expected to feed himself. He began to refuse showers because they were cold or very hot. He told me one woman told him, “You were a Marine, you can handle it.”

Lincolnshire Health & Rehabilitation Center has concerning patterns with families filing 24 complaint reports triggering federal inspections. The facility repeatedly struggles with basic nursing care, medication management, and fire safety systems across multiple surveys from 2022-2025. While all violations show correction dates, the same issues persist—particularly inadequate treatment and care, daily living assistance failures, and nursing staffing problems—suggesting ongoing quality concerns families should carefully evaluate.
