What this means for your family

The facility's rehabilitation team is highly regarded for helping patients regain mobility, making it a strong option for short-term recovery. However, families should be vigilant regarding medication management and communication; we strongly recommend establishing a clear, proactive contact plan with the administrative team upon admission to avoid the coordination issues noted by other families.

Life Care Center of Richland receives polarized feedback, with many reviewers praising the dedicated nursing and therapy staff for facilitating successful recoveries. However, significant concerns persist regarding administrative communication, medication management errors, and inconsistent care standards during off-hours. Families should be aware that while individual staff members are frequently described as warm and caring, systemic issues with responsiveness and coordination have caused distress for several families.

Key Review Excerpts

My dad had been transferred from a hospital, within 2 hours, the nurse noticed that he had stroke symptoms while going through the check-in procedures. An ambulance was called, my dad was taken to Kadlec where it was determined not to be a stroke but because of their quick response he was treated for an underlying infection.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★

They actually left my non verbal grandmother at a doctor's appointment that they never communicated with me about. This situation really has changed alot. No one even called and told me to

Family member · 2026★★☆☆☆

The nurses and staff are wonderful and overworked! The administration here is the problem. When my mother was being discharged they said she should have full 24 hr care against her will. When I refused to do that they called Adult protective services on me claiming I was sending my mom home with no care.
