What this means for your family

This facility has a highly regarded therapy department that has helped many residents regain independence. However, given the recurring reports of neglect and poor call-button responsiveness, we strongly advise families to visit frequently, especially during off-hours, and to advocate actively for their loved one's daily hygiene and dietary needs.

Excel Care Center receives highly polarized reviews, with many families praising the dedicated therapy department and specific nurses like Alyssa, while others report severe concerns regarding neglect, hygiene, and communication. While some residents report successful rehabilitation and a welcoming environment, multiple accounts describe significant issues with call-button response times, cleanliness, and staff professionalism. Families should be aware that experiences appear to vary significantly depending on the specific staff members involved and the timing of care.

Key Review Excerpts

The nursing department is top notch. They genuinely care about the residents that are in their charge. I can personally attest to the fact that we celebrate the victories no matter how big or small, and we take it personally when there is a setback.

My husband was referred by VA after being sent home 1st week after extensive foot surgery fell 3 times , brought back to hospital readmitted. Discharged to excel on Friday evening , spent weekend just laying around . Monday comes 3rd day there did intake , already redflag, had to assist on giving adaptive equipment in order to bathe as he can not bear weight on foot.
