Blumenthal has an excellent reputation for physical therapy and successful rehabilitation outcomes, making it a strong candidate for short-term recovery. However, the recurring reports of neglect and slow response times are concerning; if you choose this facility, ensure you have a family member present frequently to monitor care and advocate for your loved one's needs.

Blumenthal Health and Rehabilitation Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many patients praising the physical therapy department for successful recoveries and the facility's aesthetic appeal. However, a significant number of families report serious concerns regarding neglect, slow response times, and poor hygiene, particularly regarding the cleanliness of residents and the facility itself. Key Review Excerpts

The nurses and staff are cheerful and always willing to help in any way. The physical and occupational therapy staff are dedicated to helping patients get as strong as possible.

Rehab patient · 2025★★★★★

While there were many staff members (clinical and non-clinical) who truly cared about the residents' well-being, the majority did not. From a new administrator, who wasn’t introduced to family and had a nonchalant disposition, to the hall staff members who would let my mom lay in a soiled diaper.

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

They would leave in her pee for hours at a time, food was nasty and couldn’t eat and room was filthy and I called and made a complaint and they never did anything about it.

Families have repeatedly filed complaints about this facility across multiple surveys, with recurring problems in pain management, infection control, and medication safety. The 88 deficiencies show persistent issues with quality of care, nursing staffing adequacy, and resident assessment processes that appear across different time periods. While the facility has corrected individual violations, the pattern of complaint-driven investigations and repeated deficiencies in core care areas suggests ongoing systemic challenges families should carefully evaluate.
