What this means for your family

This facility has a strong reputation for successful physical therapy and rehabilitation outcomes, often driven by dedicated individual staff members. However, families must be aware of persistent reports regarding understaffing and slow response times. We strongly recommend visiting during off-hours or weekends to observe the actual floor staffing levels before making a decision.

Key Review Excerpts

My Mom stayed at Bella Terra Morton Grove where we felt we are staying at our own home. The days / months of staying at this rehab facility is somewhat a place of healing where you are being taken care of by your own family.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★★

My room.was never propely cleaned when i arrived. I found woman clothi n g in the closet and food keft in the refrigerator. The bathroom shower chair was never sanitized. The toilet was left a ness for days before matience got to fixing it.

Rehab patient · 2024☆☆☆☆

My father sat in a wet bed all night because apparently the night staff doesn’t do squat. Every time he hit the button to call a nurse it would be a minimum half hour before they responded.

Bella Terra Morton Grove shows concerning patterns with families filing 20 complaints triggering inspections over persistent issues. The facility repeatedly struggles with accident prevention and safety supervision (cited 7 times across multiple years), nursing staff competency and adequacy, and protection from abuse and neglect. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the recurring nature of safety violations and complaint-driven investigations suggests ongoing care quality challenges that warrant careful consideration during any visit.
