What this means for your family

Wellbrooke of Carmel offers a beautiful, modern environment with excellent rehabilitation services and an engaging social calendar. However, families should be aware of persistent reports regarding understaffing and slow response times. We strongly recommend conducting a weekend visit and asking specifically about nurse-to-patient ratios on the night shift before making a decision.

Key Review Excerpts

Call lights shouldn’t be on for hours, aides shouldn’t be covering 20 rooms by themselves at night, and staff should administer medications to patients properly.

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

The Wellbrooke team was very supportive, and kind. It was an overwhelming time as her needs continued to change quickly. Wellbrooke came alongside to answer our hundred plus questions without being pushy or reverting to trite sales pitches.

Memory care family member · 2025★★★★★

The care on the rehab unit was average. The waits for care were long, but he was assisted out of bed and to the restroom as necessary. When he was transferred to the Memory Care, it was horrible.
