What this means for your family

While the facility is physically beautiful and offers excellent physical therapy, the recurring reports of severe neglect and slow response times are deeply concerning. If you choose this facility, you must be prepared to be a constant advocate for your loved one, as multiple families reported that their presence was the only thing ensuring basic care was provided.

WellBridge of Clarkston is a visually appealing, modern facility that receives high praise for its physical therapy department and some individual staff members. However, it faces severe and recurring criticism regarding chronic understaffing, slow response times to call lights, and significant lapses in basic patient care, including medication management and hygiene. Families should be aware that while the environment is hotel-like, the quality of care appears highly inconsistent and potentially dangerous for patients with complex medical needs.

Key Review Excerpts

My dad went to Wellbridge for rehab after a stay at the hospital. To say I am disappointed in the care he received at Wellbridge would be an understatement. Multiple times a day the nurse call button was pushed for support to get him help to go to the bathroom and not once did an employee respond to the call.

Rehab patient's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

I had an injury which required me to go to a Rehab facility. I chose Well Bridge in Clarkston. From the moment I arrived, Dec.14th until I was released, Jan.27th I had the best care. Nurses were friendly as was the Nurses aids, Physical and Occupational Therapist, Lisa, Maria, and Lisa.

Rehab patient · 2024★★★★★

My mom was admitted into wellbridge 5/14/25 by 5-16 she started having hallucinations both audio and visual, I pointed it out to a nurse who responded with “ that’s normal for her”... Was not until 5/23 I requested her to be sent to an emergency room to be evaluated that I find out she had fallen 2 times in a week.
