What this means for your family

The Waters of Bristol offers a modern, clean environment and a highly capable therapy team, making it a strong candidate for rehabilitation. However, you must be vigilant regarding daily care; we strongly recommend visiting during off-hours to observe response times to call lights and ensure your loved one's hygiene and medication needs are being met consistently.

The Waters of Bristol receives high praise for its clean, modern facility and a staff that many families describe as compassionate and attentive. However, there is a significant pattern of negative reports regarding neglect, specifically concerning slow response times for call lights, hygiene issues like the smell of urine, and inconsistent medication administration. Families should carefully weigh the positive aesthetic and therapy outcomes against these serious concerns regarding daily care responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

My mother was a very high risk post op Cardiac Patient when she admitted and they were able to detect on 2 different occasions very subtle changes that prompted them to send her to the hospital. On both occasions my mother could have died within 24 hours had they not acted.

Rehab patient's family · 2025★★★★★

The nurses did not check on my family member for at least 6 hours (I know because I was there.) The CNA staff did check on my family member once in 6 hours but no nursing staff. Also, whenever we were visiting daily in the evenings, we noticed many residents at the desk slumped in their wheelchairs.

Family member · 2023☆☆☆☆

My mother has been in waters 3 months. At first everything was going good. But now it seams that the staff doesn't do their job. Everytime me or one of my sisters go down to see her her meds haven't been given or no shower it's always something.
