What this means for your family

While the rehabilitation therapy team is highly regarded, the facility struggles with significant consistency issues regarding basic hygiene and responsiveness. If you are considering this facility, we strongly recommend conducting an unannounced visit on a weekend and specifically asking about the staff-to-patient ratio and the process for escalating concerns when call bells go unanswered.

Key Review Excerpts

The facility lacks basic hygiene; the rooms, hallways, and common areas are dirty and smell terrible. It’s heartbreaking to see elderly residents living in such conditions.

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

My father in law who is 95 fell had Covid and received a pacemaker. He went to VanDuyn for rehab. I cannot say more about the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist as well as the Speech/swallowing therapist.

Family member · 2024★★★★★

I’ve spent countless hours visiting up there and the atrocities you see could only believed if seen I promise you. Keep your loved ones far, far away.
