What this means for your family

The facility's physical therapy team is a standout strength and highly recommended for post-surgical recovery. However, families must remain vigilant regarding nursing responsiveness and medication accuracy, as these have been significant historical issues. We recommend asking specifically how they manage call light response times during night shifts.

Families considering THE SUITES PASADENA will find a facility with a highly-regarded physical therapy department and a beautiful, modern building. However, there is a significant and recurring pattern of serious concerns regarding nursing responsiveness, medication errors, and patient neglect. While recent reviews from 2025 and 2026 show much higher satisfaction, historical data reveals critical issues with understaffing and medical mismanagement.

Long-term resident's family · 2026★★★★★

My mom was there for 5 days. She was a fall risk. She was supposed to get PT but only had 2 days. Upon arrival, we asked for railing for her bed, was promised we would get them but they never came. She pulled red cord in bathroom 3xs but no one ever showed up.

Short-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

My mother was in Bay Area Resort for 20 days. When she was took here from the hospital she could not walk due to a broken femar, my mother is 75 years old. Upon leaving she was able to walk with her walker and I was shocked. Wow what an amazing job they did there
