This facility's strong rehab therapy team and modern, clean environment make it an excellent choice for post-surgical recovery. However, families should closely monitor hygiene and responsiveness, as multiple reviewers have reported issues with timely diaper changes and nursing responsiveness during shifts.

Sun Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is highly regarded by many families for its exceptional physical therapy programs and its modern, clean, and beautiful facility. While many reviewers praise the nursing and therapy staff as being compassionate and professional, there are serious, recurring allegations of neglect regarding hygiene and responsiveness to patient needs. Families should prioritize verifying staffing levels and hygiene protocols during visits.

Key Review Excerpts

I came in on A wheelchair went through therapy the best therapist and program. The Recreational Director had so many fun activities and everyone was friendly. I transitioned too a rotator and leaving out walking.

Rehab patient · 2026★★★★★

My mom Martina Garza was at Sun Valley Rehab -Harlingen, TX, for 5 months and everyone was totally AWESOME. My mom was treated well with kind words, beautiful smiles and with a lot of respect.

Long-term resident's family · 2026★★★★★

The building is new and well kept. The building is also kept fully staffed, however, that's about the extent of positive feedback that I can provide. While there are many good employees, it is nearly irrelevant due to the severe lack of communication from the top down.
