What this means for your family

While the facility's rehabilitation therapy is frequently praised, the recurring reports of neglect and hygiene issues are deeply concerning. If you choose this facility, maintain a very high level of daily involvement, visit at irregular hours, and ensure you have a clear plan for monitoring your loved one's medication and personal belongings.

Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center faces significant, long-standing criticism regarding resident neglect, hygiene, and the loss of personal property. While some recent reviewers report improvements in cleanliness and staff communication, others continue to describe a facility plagued by understaffing, poor response times, and a lack of professional care. Families considering this facility should be aware of the stark contrast between positive experiences in rehab therapy and recurring reports of substandard basic care.

Key Review Excerpts

My father (88) was admitted for PT/OT after a lengthy hospital stay. Released in better shape than before his surgery. Staff is skilled, caring and engaged with the residents.

Rehab patient's family · 2024★★★★★

It's very hard to make the decision to place your loved one in a skilled care facility. A lot of what you fear came true at this facility. Stolen/lost/broken personal items, broke emergency call buttons, huge turnover with staff, lost payments, no follow up and general bad care.

Long-term resident's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

The building has always been clean and has never smelled bad since my mom has been admitted here for a month. The doctor and nurses keeps me well informed about moms condition and any changes.
