What this means for your family

While some families report high satisfaction with the friendliness of the staff and COVID-19 precautions, the recent reports of unmonitored injuries are deeply concerning. If you choose this facility, you should implement frequent, unannounced visits and insist on a clear protocol for incident reporting and immediate notification.

Families may find comfort in the friendly and helpful staff members who have provided positive long-term care for some residents. However, there is a critical report of a serious injury occurring without staff intervention, which necessitates extreme caution regarding supervision and incident reporting.

Key Review Excerpts

My step mom was there for a few days and cannot walk and has brain damage. My dad came everyday to sit with her, but left to go get something to eat, when he came back she was sitting in the day room with a large lump on her head and was bleeding. Nobody said anything to my dad and just left her in the wheelchair.

My mom has been at Rosewood for about a year now and is very happy there. They have been careful about Covid care both with visitors and employees. They have been great with her for everything she has needed.

Recent complaints from families led to deficiency findings, including one just filed in December 2024, raising concerns about ongoing care issues. The facility has persistent problems with care planning, medication management, and infection control that span multiple years and continue to recur across surveys. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the pattern of repeated violations in core care areas suggests systemic challenges that families should carefully evaluate before choosing this facility.
