What this means for your family

The facility's therapy department is a clear strength, making it a viable option for short-term rehabilitation. However, families should be cautious regarding long-term care, as there are serious concerns about resident supervision and dietary quality; I recommend conducting an unannounced visit during evening or weekend hours to observe staffing levels firsthand.

Puyallup Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (also referred to as Puyallup Post Acute) receives polarized feedback, with strong praise for its physical and occupational therapy departments contrasted by severe allegations of neglect. While some families report a clean, welcoming environment with attentive staff, others describe a distressing atmosphere where residents are left unattended and dietary needs are unmet. Prospective families should be aware of the stark divide between positive clinical experiences and reports of poor quality of life for long-term residents.

Key Review Excerpts

The therapy department is filled with caring, competent people. Every person we've worked with in Speech, OT and PT, has provided thorough information and direction regarding the exercises, as well as the expectations and outcomes of doing the work.

Rehab patient family member · 2026★★★★★

This place is a living hell for the people that they are suppose to help we hear no less than 3 people crying for help daily when going in to see my mom the food is horrible and not set up for anyone other than general diet and that's being generous they just let there patience lay in bed with no real help

Long-term resident's family · 2026☆☆☆☆

They have gone above and beyond because she can be very choosy about things and they’ve taken the time to try to really keep her happy so that she can continue to benefit from their skilled services. They even bought her lunch. Social Services has been amazing
