What this means for your family

This facility offers excellent therapy and a clean environment, which many families find beneficial for short-term recovery. However, the recurring reports of slow call-light responses and hygiene neglect are critical red flags. We strongly advise families to visit frequently and monitor the care of their loved ones closely, especially during off-hours.

Pomeroy Living Sterling Skilled Rehabilitation receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the facility's cleanliness, therapy services, and attentive nursing staff, while others report severe neglect. Critical concerns frequently involve long wait times for call lights, residents left in soiled briefs, and inconsistent communication regarding medical care. Families considering this facility should weigh the positive reports of successful rehabilitation against the serious allegations of staffing shortages and neglect.

Key Review Excerpts

Before my mom enter she wasn’t able to pull herself out of bed, but now she can. She developed beginning stages of bed sores at Henry Ford Hospital, when she left Pomeroy, they were completely GONE!

Rehab patient's daughter · 2024★★★★★

Call lights average 3 hours to be answered just as you will receive your scheduled dose of pain meds 3 hours late. Can’t get to the bathroom? Bundle up because it’s going to be a cold night of shivering in your urine soaked bed until morning.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

The facility is clean, the Administrator talks to you, the DON is always around and the managers aren’t running away from you like at the last place I put my mom. A completely different experience, it’s not always perfect, but it’s pretty damn close.
