What this means for your family

While the facility has shown strength in specialized dementia care and physical therapy in the past, recent reviews indicate a dangerous decline in care standards. If you choose this facility, you must proactively monitor your loved one's hygiene and ensure that call bells are being answered promptly, as multiple families have reported significant neglect.

Families should exercise extreme caution, as recent reviews heavily criticize the facility for severe neglect, including unresponsive call bells, poor hygiene, and failure to follow medical orders. While some long-term residents and their families praise the specialized dementia care and certain therapy staff, the recent trend is dominated by reports of understaffing and unsanitary conditions.

Key Review Excerpts

My father has advanced dementia. So far he has only been here a couple of weeks, but I can already tell they are more equipped to handle his needs than normal memory care elsewhere.

Memory care family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

The therapy staff is wonderful though. They're the best part of the place.

Long-term resident's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

Hickory Ridge experience was awful. Grandmother with dementia was here after a fall & a bad med reaction. She could hardly move around or remember what was going on. Call button was never within reach, it took forever for anyone to respond to it.
