What this means for your family

While the therapy and activities departments are frequently praised, the facility has a recurring pattern of serious neglect reports, particularly regarding call light response times and medication safety. If you choose this facility, we strongly recommend frequent, unannounced visits and active participation in your loved one's daily care to ensure their needs are being met.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews

80 reviews on Google
Norwich Rehabilitation & Nursing Center receives highly polarized feedback, with some residents and families praising the therapy department and specific staff, while a significant number of reviewers report severe neglect, including unaddressed call lights, medication errors, and poor hygiene. Many negative reviews cite systemic issues with staffing shortages, particularly on nights and weekends, leading to dangerous lapses in patient care and communication. Families considering this facility should be aware of the stark contrast between positive experiences in rehabilitation and repeated, serious allegations of neglect.

Key Review Excerpts

The physical therapy department was excellent. And the social workers were excellent

Rehab patient · 2025☆☆☆☆

The dietary department listens and makes adjustments accordingly. Their menu is diverse and the food is well prepared. With that being said, laundry has lost many items of their clothing, and the nights and weekend nursing/CNA staff need improvement

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★

My mother was supposed to be in this facility for a hip rehabilitation. She was not taken care of in the best way. The staff was very rude to her and other patients. The staff would rather be outside smoking or be on their phones.
