What this means for your family

This facility has a strong reputation for physical and occupational therapy, making it a viable option for short-term rehab if you are able to be physically present to monitor care. However, due to consistent reports of poor communication and medication errors, it is essential to have a family member advocate on-site daily and to verify all medication schedules directly with the nursing manager.

Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the facility's physical environment, cleanliness, and the effectiveness of its rehabilitation therapy team. However, a significant number of reviewers report serious concerns regarding chronic understaffing, poor communication, and inconsistent quality of medical care, including medication errors and neglect of basic needs. Potential families should be aware that while many report successful recovery outcomes, others describe a facility struggling with administrative oversight and responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

The Physical therapy team was very much on top of us, patients, making sure that we are getting full service and in a timely manner. Anthony (PT) and Ms. Delgado (OT are great.

Rehab patient · 2025★★★★★

My biggest complaint with Mary Manning is the inability to get a hold of any staff member. I have tried multiple numbers for the social workers and nurses and the chance of someone picking up the phone is almost zero.

Family member · 2024★★★☆☆

The nursing staff is completely inefficient. My husband has been receiving all the wrong medications. The 90clock pills come at 1045. The food is deplorable.
