What this means for your family

Golden View shows strong results for short-term rehabilitation, with many families satisfied with the therapy team. However, due to serious, recurring allegations of neglect and poor hygiene, we strongly recommend conducting an unannounced visit and specifically inspecting the cleanliness of the resident's room and observing staff interactions during off-peak hours.

Key Review Excerpts

My mom was in here for a fracture. The PT was good. But the rest of the facility nursing and aids weren’t. She cried because she didn’t understand English well and they yelled at her and she was bruised when we went to get her.

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

My mother in law is a resident there understandably we are aware of staff shortages however her room was filthy we pulled her bed out from against the wall to pick up one of her stuffed animals and there was so much trash and dust under her bed and the heating register it was terrible.

Long-term resident's family · 2023☆☆☆☆

The Retreat was amazing for my Mom's recovery from hip surgery. The staff was kind and caring. The facilities immaculate. The care management team and the nursing staff are proactive and problem solvers.
