What this means for your family

This facility has a strong reputation for its physical and occupational therapy teams, which may benefit those seeking short-term recovery. However, the recurring, serious reports of neglect, poor hygiene, and lack of communication with families are major red flags. If you choose this facility, ensure you have a designated family member visiting daily to monitor care and advocate for your loved one.

Glenburnie Rehab & Nursing Center receives highly polarized reviews, with some families praising the therapy team and front-desk staff, while others report severe neglect and communication failures. Recurring complaints highlight issues with hygiene, slow response times to call buttons, and poor coordination regarding medical care and discharge planning. Key Review Excerpts

The occupational and physical therapy staff was outstanding Jeanette, Mary, Eric, and Kyle. I observed and spoke with them when I was there.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★★

The staff doesn’t respond well or at all to concerns. The last person I attempted to reach SEVERAL times after my mother left the facility sick was Anna (the social worker)… to share my concerns. No call back, not even to check to see how my mother was doing.

Long-term resident's family · 2023☆☆☆☆

My father is bedbound, on the autism spectrum, and not fluent in English. He was transferred here after a long hospital stay to begin physical rehab. What happened was nothing short of abuse. One morning, staff propped him up at the edge of the bed and left him there alone.
