What this means for your family

Brethren Care Village is widely regarded for its clean environment and compassionate care, particularly in hospice and rehab settings. However, because some families have reported issues with staff accountability and administrative oversight, we recommend you ask for a tour of the specific unit your loved one will occupy and inquire about the facility's policy on personal property and staff supervision.

Brethren Care Village is frequently praised for its compassionate staff and clean, well-maintained facilities, with many families noting that their loved ones received personalized care across various levels, including rehab and memory care. However, some families have reported serious concerns regarding communication, staff accountability, and alleged neglect or theft during transitions between care levels. Prospective families should weigh the high volume of positive testimonials against specific reports of administrative oversight and poor staff conduct.

Key Review Excerpts

The nursing home has a very caring staff. My mother had a short stay here, under hospice care. The facility was very clean and everyone was very supportive for my family.

Hospice family member · 2021★★★★★

My friend's dad went to Wasen and had the most incredible experience - they knew he loved Sudoko so got him books to play and Tina was super helpful from the start.

Friend of resident · 2025★★★★★

I would NEVER suggest this facility. My mother was in there for therapy. The Wasen rehab staff was great on working with my mom for the first month(except Savannah), but as soon as she went to the nursing home section. It went all to waste.
