What this means for your family

This facility has an exceptionally strong rehabilitation therapy team, making it a viable choice for short-term recovery. However, families should be extremely cautious regarding dietary needs; if your loved one requires a specific medical diet, verify the kitchen's ability to comply before admission. Additionally, perform a walk-through of the specific floor where your loved one will reside to check for cleanliness and staffing presence.

AristaCare at Parkside receives polarized feedback, with many families praising the rehabilitation therapy team and specific administrators for their responsiveness and care. However, significant concerns persist regarding inconsistent nursing care, poor dietary management for special diets, and cleanliness issues in certain wings. While many residents and families report a positive, home-like environment, others describe a facility struggling with staffing shortages and inadequate attention to basic patient needs.

Key Review Excerpts

The therapy team was beyond helpful while during my stay here. They made me feel comfortable. If I ever had to come back for rehab I would pick Parkside!

Rehab patient · 2024★★★★★

The staff at Aristacare are very friendly. My mom is on the 4th floor because she has dementia and I have no complaints about the staff. Doris is one of the nurse's there and she is amazing.

Memory care family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

My ONLY disappointment is with the meals, clearly there's no nutritionist to give the patients the proper nutrition. My husband had open heart surgery and is on a no salt, low sodium, no fat diet, yet he was given hot dogs, philly cheese steaks, can ravioli.

2 complaint-triggered

Families filed complaint reports that led to deficiencies, including a recent safety hazard issue and dietary concerns. The facility shows persistent problems with fire safety systems, nutrition and dietary services, and resident assessments across multiple surveys from 2020 to 2025. While all deficiencies have correction dates, the recurring nature of fire safety and dietary issues suggests ongoing operational challenges that warrant careful evaluation during visits.
