What this means for your family

Willowbrook Manor offers a clean environment and strong rehabilitation services, which may be beneficial for short-term recovery. However, we strongly advise families to monitor medication management closely and verify staffing ratios, as multiple reports suggest inconsistent care and communication issues during off-hours.

Willowbrook Manor receives high praise for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and effective physical therapy programs, with many families noting a welcoming and home-like environment. However, there are significant, recurring complaints regarding understaffing, poor medication management, and inconsistent care quality, particularly during off-hours or weekends. Families should be aware that while many experiences are positive, there are serious concerns about communication and the responsiveness of nursing staff.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed your team is very active in responding to online feedback; how do you use that family input to improve daily operations and communication?
  • 2Given that your therapy programs are highly praised, how do you ensure that same level of consistency and attention to detail when it comes to medication management protocols?
  • 3With your staffing rating being strong, could you walk me through how you maintain consistent care standards and response times across all three shifts?
  • 4I see there have been some recent discussions regarding dietary preferences; how do you handle specific nutritional needs or requests to ensure residents are satisfied with their meals?
  • 5Since the facility is well-regarded for its social events, what does a typical week of activities look like for a resident who enjoys staying active and engaged?
  • 6In light of the recent health inspection reports, what specific steps has the leadership team taken to address those findings and improve the overall quality of care?

Key Review Excerpts

The facility itself was extremely clean, smelled clean, and was well-maintained. Housekeeping and the staff were consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely willing to help in any way they could.

Rehab patient · 2025★★★★★

The Nurse refused to order my medications. And finally dug some pain meds out of somewhere only after I was screaming in pain. The 3rd shift Nurse does not put the residents first.

Post-surgery patient · 2025☆☆☆☆

Some of the nurses are great some of them suck they're rude they're mean and they put you down and make you feel like you're less than. They don't care about HIPAA.

Willowbrook Manor has concerning patterns of recurring care problems, with families filing 18 complaints that triggered federal inspections. The facility repeatedly struggles with basic medical care, medication management, and safety supervision, with the same issues appearing across multiple surveys from 2023 through 2025. While the facility corrects deficiencies when cited, the persistent recurrence of fundamental care problems suggests ongoing quality challenges that families should carefully consider.
