What this means for your family

The facility's rehabilitation therapy team is highly regarded and often cited as a primary reason for successful recovery. However, families should be aware of recurring issues with administrative communication and call-light response times; we recommend scheduling an in-person tour to observe staffing levels during off-peak hours.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1Given that your rehabilitation and physical therapy team is highly regarded, how do you integrate those services into the daily routine of residents who aren't in active recovery?
  • 2What is the best way for family members to stay in the loop regarding their loved one's care, and who should we contact if we have trouble reaching the nursing station directly?
  • 3With a smaller community of 30 residents, how do you ensure that staff are readily available to respond to call lights in a timely manner?
  • 4Could you walk us through your process for ensuring consistent, professional communication between your nursing staff and family members during transitions or changes in care?
  • 5What kind of daily activities or social opportunities are available to keep residents engaged and connected with the rest of the community?
  • 6How does your leadership team approach staff training and culture to ensure that every resident receives the same compassionate and attentive care throughout their stay?

Key Review Excerpts

The PT Staff worked Miracles along with the Speech Therapist. The transition from the Oaks to home was awsome as they arranged the Primary Doctor follow up as required by Medicare.

Long-term resident's family · 2021★★★★

As hard as the event of placing a family member into an assisted living facility could be it went remarkably smoothly and pleasant. Britany Toman was an absolute life saver for me.

Family member · 2025★★★★★

The facility is understaffed causing an hour or more to respond to the call light. After a week and some serious confrontation with management, there is some improvement, cold, soggy French fries for non ambulatory, and still very short handed.
