What this means for your family

While some reviewers report positive experiences, the facility has a concerning pattern of reports regarding poor hygiene, lack of transparency, and unprofessional staff behavior. We strongly advise families to conduct an unannounced visit and ask specifically about their protocols for incident reporting and incontinence care, as these are recurring points of concern.

St Johns Place receives highly polarized feedback, with a large volume of generic five-star reviews from 2021 contrasting sharply with detailed, critical accounts from family members. While some visitors praise specific staff members for being attentive and loving, others report serious concerns regarding cleanliness, neglect, and a lack of transparency from management. Families should be aware of significant allegations regarding poor communication, hygiene issues, and inadequate care for complex medical needs.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff here is amazing! My mother was a resident there twice after a major car accident. She received excellent care and recovered quickly.

Rehab patient's child · 2021★★★★★

I was an ALS patient at St John's Place this past week... Almost everyday I was put in a Jerry Chair (Torture Chair) where I would have to support my body with my feet. At night I couldn't sleep because of the pain.

Rehab patient · 2026☆☆☆☆

They are not honest and hide what has happened to my mother. When confronted about it, they got aggressive and refused to show us any incident report or camera footage.
