What this means for your family

This facility's therapy department is frequently cited as a major strength, making it a potential option for short-term rehab. However, families must be vigilant regarding fall prevention and weekend staffing levels, as multiple reviewers reported significant lapses in care during off-hours. We strongly recommend visiting on a weekend to observe staffing ratios before making a decision.

Solaris Healthcare Charlotte Harbor receives polarized feedback, with many families praising the dedicated therapy and nursing staff for successful rehabilitation outcomes. However, there are recurring, serious concerns regarding understaffing, particularly on weekends, and inconsistent quality of care that has led to preventable falls and hygiene issues. Prospective families should carefully weigh the positive reports of individual staff members against significant complaints about management oversight and facility safety.

Key Review Excerpts

My Mom went to Solaris for rehab. Unfortunately she contracted Covid while there and was too weak to make it through. I cannot say anything but positive things about the administrative team, the nursing staff, PT, OT, social worker, dietary and everyone else involved in her care.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★★

The first year all was good. The second year they went completely down hill. Always short staffed. Most employees don't care and do as little as possible. My mom 'fell' out of the bed and had to have a partial hip replacement.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

If I was not there every day his treatment would of been 100% worst then it was. CNA"S were not trained up to code, they did work very hard many just taken up space, very neglectful Food was terrible, The positive was the PT staff, they cared for the patience.
