What this means for your family

While Smithfield Manor is highly regarded for its compassionate nursing staff and effective rehabilitation, recent reports suggest a decline in operational quality following a change in ownership. We strongly recommend that families inquire about current staffing ratios and request a clear, written explanation of the billing process to avoid the administrative issues noted by other families.

Key Review Excerpts

My Mother was there for approx. 7 weeks at the beginning of this year. I will say there are some wonderful staff members there who truly care about their patients. Then there are those that are there for a paycheck and could really care less.

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

But with the new owners everything has changed and gone down hill. Staff is still caring and professional but food quality is poor, staff shortages are too frequent, and management response to inquiries is not good.

Friend of resident · 2025★★★☆☆

The staff is excellent and she said the food is great for the most part. I would like to see more help on the floor. These employees are awesome and sometimes they need help due to short staffed.
