What this means for your family

While Riverview Care Center has a strong reputation for rehabilitation therapy, the facility suffers from significant, recurring reports of neglect and understaffing. When touring, we strongly recommend asking for specific nurse-to-patient ratios on weekends and observing how quickly staff respond to call lights, as these are the most frequently cited areas of concern.

  • 5Could you describe the process for addressing concerns regarding meal quality and nutritional variety, and how you accommodate residents who may have specific dietary preferences or needs?
  • 6How does your nursing team manage medical emergencies or acute changes in a resident's health, particularly during evening or weekend hours when administrative staff may be off-site?

Key Review Excerpts

My mother was in Riverview for several months recovering from a broken hip. I found the staff were caring, responsive and professional. The Nursing and Rehab team were excellent and played a major role in her recovering.
