Key Review Excerpts

We had to be present in this facility seven days a week to ensure that our father was getting fed and receiving his medications. He was left in a hoyer lift for over an hour, left by himself in the room, while the staff went to charge the batte

Long-term resident's family · 2019☆☆☆☆

This place is hell I have seen more residents die in their care more than a hospice facility itself they don’t feed their residents they don’t give them their medication they leave them in their feces yelling for help the emergency call buttons are left on for long periods of time

Visitor/Observer · 2019☆☆☆☆

She was suppose to have 30 days of antibiotics. She didn't even start getting them until the 4th day, and they had Dr's orders. Just no one there made an effort to get them delivered

River City Living Community has faced serious concerns including families filing multiple complaints about resident abuse, neglect reporting failures, and safety hazards. The facility shows persistent problems with fire safety systems, infection control, and care quality standards across multiple surveys from 2019-2024. While all deficiencies report correction dates, the recurring pattern of issues with safety systems and the recent complaint-triggered violations regarding abuse protection warrant careful consideration before visiting.
