What this means for your family

Recent reviews suggest a positive shift under new management, with many families praising the current cleanliness and staff engagement. However, given the history of serious concerns regarding fall monitoring and pressure ulcer prevention, we strongly recommend that you conduct a thorough tour and ask specifically about their current protocols for patient turning schedules and fall-risk supervision.

Key Review Excerpts

The facility is very clean; staff care about the residents and work very hard to take care of them. The are very engaging with the family and the residents. The food for the residents tastes great!

Family member · 2025★★★★★

The staff at Universal has been phenomenal in helping her adjust to her new home. Her nurses (especially Michelle) and CNAs are amazing. Everyday I come to see her she is smiling, talking, up and dressed, and clean.

Grandchild · 2024★★★★★

My father was there for about 3-4 weeks for rehab. He developed bedsores, which says to me that he was not moved very much. They didn’t attempt to make him eat.

Families filed complaints leading to serious deficiencies including resident abuse and neglect protection failures, which the facility has reportedly corrected.
