What this means for your family

This facility is highly regarded for its activities program and clean environment, making it a popular choice for many families. However, given the serious reports of medical neglect and slow response times, we strongly advise you to conduct unannounced visits and monitor your loved one's clinical care closely, especially regarding hygiene and wound management.

Key Review Excerpts

My mother has been in other homes that are much more expensive than Pruittt; however, this place has been wonderful for her. There are always nursing or staff in the hallway (other places-not so much) and all know the residents and even come in at times to just sit and talk.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★★

Pruitt Moultrie has provided tremendous service to our family member who has dementia. They keep us updated as to her progress, problems, and concerns. We do not live close so the Moultrie staff goes out of their way to help.

Memory care family member · 2025★★★★★

Worst place! This place almost killed my mom. Let her lay there with a raging UTI from a kinked catheter and sepsis and wouldn’t do anything. We had her taken to the ER via ambulance from Pruitt.

Clean record — no deficiencies

This facility shows a pattern of fire safety and building maintenance issues, with multiple deficiencies found across surveys for smoke barriers, fire alarms, and electrical systems. The facility also had problems with food safety and medication labeling. While all cited deficiencies have been corrected by the provider, the recurring focus on safety infrastructure suggests ongoing maintenance challenges that families should discuss during visits.
